I’m Sheyda, I was born in Isfahan, Iran and fled to the Netherlands when I was 8. At age 16 I started belly dancing and when I was 18 I got in touch with Hip Hop. I’ m an autodidact who considers every dancer as an individual with an authentic dance personality and statement. The most important thing is bringing out this statement with dance. I also believe that a person’s dance is a reflection of his or her soul.

I have a propaedeutics degree in psychology and work as a dancer, teacher and choreographer throughout Europe. I’m engaged in New Style Hip Hop, House dancing, Krump, belly dancing and Wackin’. My specialisations are fusions and cross-overs, also with non Hip Hop styles. I have a true affinity for Hip Hop dance in theatres.

I work with various groups, for example professionals, but also mentally challenged children, dancers who have finished or just started a dance education or people who have dancing as a hobby. My working field is broad and I love new challenges.

Dancing, teaching and choreographing is searching for my identity, soul and feels like a necessity.
